The Three Rivers Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors will review mini grant proposals and award funding to successful candidates. Notification of grant awards will be made as soon as possible. Grant recipients must complete the proposed project within the timeline stated in their grant. The Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act was passed in and provides for a continuing, coordinated appraisal of the status and condition of the United States' soil, water, and related resources. These documents are review drafts of three major documents: (1) the appraisal, part I, (2) the appraisal, part II, (3) the program report and environmental impact statement, and an executive.

Mean soil chemical properties from Bruce Randolph Middle School at and Soil’s Role in the Environment Within these varied ecosystems, soil serves many important roles, such as being home to animals and storing water for plants. The soil also has specialized roles that help protect nature. For example, a wetland stores a lot of water. This protects both the land and the water that the wetland is between.

The main goal of the English Coulee Watershed project is to implement best management practices that improve and restore the water quality within the Coulee. Soil is defined as. The "material that forms at the interface of the atmosphere and the lithosphere which is capable of supporting plant growth" (White ). Extension programs of the department cover such subjects as soil fertility and nutrient management, climatic influence on agricultural production, water quality and pollution, and waste management and utilization.

The department's programs have been highly respected for their timely and relevant information, objective views and factual accuracy. The Soil and Water Conservation Program is funded by the Parks, Soils and Water sales tax which has been voter-approved for over 30 years.

Since the initial passage of the Parks, Soils and Water sales tax, Missouri has prevented more than million tons of soil erosion improving the state’s water quality and keeping under grant #9457 book productive. Buffer Strips are a valuable conservation tool that help prevent soil loss, reduce nutrient/pesticide runoff, provide food for wildlife, and reduce maintenance costs for drainage systems.
